Help in a crisis

You might feel you can no longer cope with the difficulties you're facing.

Possibly you may be experiencing:

  • Extreme distress and difficulty managing your emotions

  • High levels of anxiety, panic attacks or flashbacks

  • Out of control behaviour that risks harm to yourself or others

  • Hallucinations, hear voices or lose your sense of reality

  • Harming yourself or have thoughts and feelings about suicide

In an emergency

  • call 999

  • go to the nearest A&E department, if you can

  • or call your local crisis team

Get someone to help you if you are unable to do this yourself.

If you feel vulnerable you may want to plan ahead in case of a crisis and be familiar with services available in the UK. MIND has a useful page you may want to bookmark.
