Confidentiality

Honesty and integrity are important to me and I take confidentiality seriously. I am bound by the BACP code of ethics. What we talk about in our sessions is held in strictest confidence, unless I am legally obliged to reveal details to the appropriate authorities. I have a policy of recording minimal anonymised notes, mostly as an aide memoire for future sessions.

I am obliged to gain your consent to holding and processing your personal data. This privacy policy helps you understand how your personal information is collected and used.

What type of information is collected?

Information you enter on this website or provide in any other way is received, collected and stored. In addition, the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; your e-mail address if provided; computer and connection information are collected. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email address and telephone number).

How is information collected?

If you use the contact form to send an email, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, email address and telephone number. Your personal information will be used for the purpose of communication.

Why is such personal information collected?

Non-personal and personal information is collected for the following purposes:

To provide and operate the services.
To be able to contact visitors and users
To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred non-personal information, which we may use to provide and improve our respective services

How site visitors' personal information is stored and used.

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides an online platform allowing promotion of these counselling services. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

Communicating with site visitors?

I may contact you in response to your own initial contact to: discuss the counselling service, create calendared meetings, notify you regarding your account, to resolve a dispute, collect fees or monies owed, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our Agreement (if you have engaged counselling services), applicable national laws, and any agreement I may have with you. For these purposes I may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail.

Use of cookies and other tracking tools.

Cookies are small pieces of data stored on a site visitor's browser. They are typically used to keep track of the settings users have selected and actions they have taken on a site.
